Program Overview
The goal of this session is to help clinicians and other service providers understand the regional and national picture of HCV infection in a rural setting. Treatment as prevention for HCV amongst rural populations and PWIDs is efficacious and cost-effective.
Learning Objectives
At session completion, attendees should be able to:
Performance
Increase HCV testing, diagnosis, counseling and treatment in rural areas
Competency
Successful linkage to HCV care will increase. Providers will understand how to diagnose and treat HCV in these geographic areas
Increase Knowledge
Understand the effectiveness and efficacy of HCV treatment for patients and the community.
