HEPATITIS C UPDATE FOR SUPPORT STAFF
Program Overview
The goal of this course module is to help support staff understand the local and regional picture of viral hepatitis, HCV screening recommendations, current treatment options, the diagnosis, and specific issues with vulnerable populations especially people who inject drugs.

Increase patient HCV education, counseling, and referrals

Provide appropriate support/wrap around services to patients being treated for HCV

Alison Kost, RN, Program Director for the Community Liver Alliance
Alison spent 13 years as part of a team treating Hepatitis C patients in a Primary Care setting. In a career spanning 20 years, Alison screened close to 8,000 patients in the community for Hepatitis C.
