The Community Liver Alliance is celebrating our 10th anniversary throughout 2023. Through our mission, the Community Liver Alliance unites patients, providers and the health care industry to deliver the best possible care and develop new, scalable solutions to affect health equity among the broader liver community.
The last decade was filled with progressive growth and achievement made possible by the culmination of our dedication to the cause and the support and collaboration from partners like you. The symbol used to commemorate a 10 year anniversary is tin. Tin represents the durability and flexibility needed to sustain a union. We believe the union we have created with our partners has allowed us to build our alliance. Through grassroots outreach, education programs, community forums and results driven advocacy, we our outreach has helped many in the liver community. We created a mission and strategic plan that moved us forward, even in the midst of a pandemic. All successes that required durability and flexibility from our team and our union with you.
We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished.
We have much to celebrate, much to be thankful for and … much more work to do!
Public awareness of liver diseases remains limited because of its disproportionate impact on marginalized populations and other at-risk groups. Your continued support is critical to the success of the Community Liver Alliance. In the next ten years, we plan to be just as strategic to remain relevant and responsive in the liver space. Initiatives behind our goals for intentional growth in 2023 include:
- Addressing disparities that exist for people with liver diseases
- Investing in research that advances key findings in prevention and treatment of liver disease
- Providing education to the liver community
- Supporting patients and their caregivers through services and funding
- Inspiring positive legislative change
- Creating strong partnerships with key stakeholders
On November 30, 2023, we are going to celebrate our work over the last decade. More importantly, we are going to celebrate our plans for the next 10!
